Planilka Cinema Media Wall with FLA4+ 990 Bioethanol Burner
Couldn't load pickup availability
The Planika Cinema FLA4+ 990 is the extended-burn model in the Cinema media wall collection - a bioethanol fireplace designed for all-day use. It shares the minimalist FLA4 line-of-fire burner with the standard model, but upgrades the fuel tank to 17.2 litres for up to 27 hours of continuous burning - more than three times the standard capacity. A dedicated bracket accepts a 55-inch television, with a shelf for a soundbar or subwoofer, and the ventless, zero-clearance design means no chimney and no structural work. This bioethanol fireplace offers 6 flame levels and a maximum heat output of 6.9 kW, controlled via remote, integrated control panel and mobile app, with optional Smart Home System integration. Ideal for hospitality settings, open-plan living spaces and anyone who wants their media wall bioethanol fireplace burning from morning to night.

Planika Cinema comes with 3 different bioethanol burner options
Planika
Cinema
Do I need a chimney or flue for the Planika Cinema?
No. The Cinema is completely ventless — Planika's BEV® (Burning Ethanol Vapours) technology burns ethanol vapours rather than liquid fuel, producing no smoke, no odour and no ash. Installation requires no chimney, no flue and no structural modifications to your room.
Can I really mount a TV above a bioethanol fireplace?
Yes — the Cinema is purpose-built for it. It comes with a dedicated bracket for a 55-inch television and a shelf for a soundbar or subwoofer, and the structure is engineered to protect electronic equipment from heat and moisture. It's one of the safest ways to combine a real flame with a media wall.
How long does the Planika Cinema burn on a full tank?
Standard models (Prime Fire 2.0, FLA4 990 and FLA4 FLOGS 990) burn for up to 8 hours from the 5.5-litre tank. If you want all-day burning, the FLA4+ 990 and FLA4 FLOGS+ 990 carry an extra-large 17.2-litre tank for up to 27 hours of continuous use.
What size room do I need for a Planika Cinema?
The Cinema suits rooms with a minimum volume of 69 m³ (2,437 ft³) — comfortably within the range of a typical UK living room or open-plan space. Normal room ventilation is sufficient; Planika recommends an air change rate of one space volume per hour, which standard window ventilation covers.
Which Cinema burner should I choose — Prime Fire 2.0, FLA4 or FLOGS?
It depends on the look and burn time you want. Prime Fire 2.0 is the entry-level option with 3 flame levels. FLA4 990 gives you a clean, minimalist line of fire with 6 flame levels. FLA4 FLOGS 990 includes realistic ceramic logs for a traditional hearth look. The FLA4+ and FLOGS+ versions extend burn time from 8 to 27 hours — ideal for daily use or hospitality settings.
How is the Planika Cinema controlled?
Three ways as standard: the included remote control, the integrated LCD touch panel, and the Planika mobile app for iOS and Android. FLA4 and FLOGS models offer 6 flame levels; the Prime Fire 2.0 offers 3. Smart Home System (SHS) integration is available as an option for voice and home automation control.
How difficult is the Cinema to install?
It's designed to be straightforward — the unit arrives almost ready to install and can be assembled in as little as 30 minutes. Because there's no chimney, gas connection or structural work involved, it's a fraction of the installation effort of a traditional media wall fire. Refuelling is handled by the automatic refilling system with anti-spill and overfill protection, so there's no manual pouring.
